Join us as a Security and Resilience Specialist within our Corporate Security and Emergency Planning team. In this new and unique role, you will have the opportunity to coordinate and create awareness and training for our employees in the areas of security, risk and resilience as well as manage our online content and align our processes across our various business groups. Through the collection and analysis of data, you will support the Manager, Security and Emergency Programs and Governance by making recommendations and assessments, as well as creating engaging dashboards to communicate and reinforce messaging.What NAV CANADA offers you:

In this role you will:
  • Work with internal partners to define, establish and maintain a culture of vigilance towards security risk and resilience through internal brand imaging.
  • Solicit and understand areas of vulnerability, mitigation strategies and best practices in policy, business practices and human behaviour.
  • Contribute to the drafting of strategies, policies, standards, guidelines, processes and procedures ensuring incorporation of best-practices, alignment and efficiency.
  • Develop content that incorporates security, risk and resilience for various digital platforms that is engaging and encourages interaction from internal stakeholders at all levels.
  • Support the development and implementation of comprehensive training programs.
  • Contribute to training delivery activities for diverse audiences and using multiple platforms across the organization.
  • Evaluate training program effectiveness through assessments, feedback mechanisms and continuous improvement strategies.
  • Foster and reinforce security culture principals through awareness campaigns on NAV CANADA internal websites, online communities, and news articles.
  • Design, develop and produce monthly dashboards, quarterly score cards and annual reports on key priorities and initiatives, including metrics, trends and measurements of effectiveness.
What you bring to the role:
  • College diploma or Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Communications, Education, Policy, Business Administration or related area of study.
  • Alternatively, a high school diploma with a minimum of 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 work experience in a related field, achieving leadership or supervisory roles that highlight creativity, strategic thinking, planning and time management.
  • At least 2 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience supporting Program Development or Delivery.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Digital Communications, Marketing, Advertising or Content Development.
  • Proven track record supporting awareness campaigns and the development of course curriculum in training programs.
  • Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint and OneNote.
  • Experience developing and sharing content using Microsoft 365 Suite including SharePoint, Viva Engage, Streams and Forms (or similar platforms).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft PowerBI, PowerAutomate and Power Apps would be advantageous.
  • Awareness of \xe2\x80\x9cBig-S\xe2\x80\x9d Security philosophy. Specifically, the umbrella term used when combining and coordinating efforts across multiple disciplines to wholistically protect an organization.
  • Knowledge of Security Management Systems (SeMS) objectives, principals, structure and processes; although Safety Management Systems (SMS) experience would be considered a suitable alternative.
  • Exposure to ISO 9001 or similar Quality Management Standard frameworks would be beneficial.
