Playground is rapidly expanding and is currently seeking an experienced Security Officer to join our team.

Schedule:

Full Time 5:00 AM- 1:00 PM, 1:00 PM - 9:00 PM, 9:00 PM - 5:00 AM (additional variable shifts will be available to pick up)

Competitive hourly wage based on experience starting at $19.50$ and up to $21.00 per hour

Who you are:

We are looking for a Security Officer to undertake the surveillance of our premises and protection of our staff and guests. Your main responsibilities include overseeing floor activities, detecting any suspicious behavior and preventing vandalism, theft or other criminal behavior. You will also assist, respond and guide emergency plans to ensure the security and well-being of all Playgrounds members. To succeed in this role, you must exemplify professionalism and integrity at all times.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers in a courteous and professional manner.
• Monitor the access to Playground by escorting visitors and inspecting bags
• Verify customers identification and confirm they meet legal standards
• Ensure the security, safety and well-being of all personnel and guests
• Identify and report any misconduct
• Intervene, diffuse and perform removals in problematic situations
• Actively communicate with team members via radio or in person to keep personnel informed of suspicious activities.
• Interact with the Peacekeepers, when necessary, to maintain the security of all individuals
• Conducts First Aid or CPR in emergency situations
• Intervene with disturbances and intoxication of guests
• Create daily reports by recording all incidents
• Patrol premises (interior and exterior) to maintain a safe environment
• Adhere and comply with the company's policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Excellent communication skills in English (French is an asset) & 25 years and older
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
• Previous working experience as an officer required (2 years).
• Experience in martial arts is an asset
• Valid Certificate in First Aid and CPR
• Physical ability to carry heavy items and stand for long hours
• Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, evenings and holidays

Vos principales responsabilit\xc3\xa9s comprennent la supervision des activit\xc3\xa9s au sol, la d\xc3\xa9tection de tout comportement suspect et la pr\xc3\xa9vention du vandalisme, du vol ou d\'autres comportements criminels. Vous assisterez, r\xc3\xa9pondrez et guiderez \xc3\xa9galement les plans d\'urgence pour assurer la s\xc3\xa9curit\xc3\xa9 et le bien-\xc3\xaatre de tous les membres de Playground. Responsabilit\xc3\xa9s:

• Accueiller et assister les clients de mani\xc3\xa8re courtoise et professionnelle.
• Surveiller l\'acc\xc3\xa8s \xc3\xa0 Playground en escortant les visiteurs et en inspectant les sacs
• V\xc3\xa9rifier l\'identification des clients et confirmer qu\'ils respectent les normes l\xc3\xa9gales
• Assurer la s\xc3\xa9curit\xc3\xa9, la s\xc3\xbbret\xc3\xa9 et le bien-\xc3\xaatre de tout le personnel et des invit\xc3\xa9s
• Identifier et signaler toute inconduite
• Intervenir, diffuser et effectuer des d\xc3\xa9m\xc3\xa9nagements dans des situations probl\xc3\xa9matiques
• Communiquer activement avec les membres de l\'\xc3\xa9quipe par radio ou en personne pour tenir le personnel inform\xc3\xa9 des activit\xc3\xa9s suspectes.
• Interagir avec les Peacekeepers de Kahnawake, au besoin, pour maintenir la s\xc3\xa9curit\xc3\xa9 de tous les individus
• Offrir les premiers soins ou la RCR dans des situations d\'urgence
• Intervenir avec les perturbations et l\'intoxication des invit\xc3\xa9s
• Cr\xc3\xa9ez des rapports quotidiens en enregistrant tous les incidents
• Patrouiller les lieux (int\xc3\xa9rieur et ext\xc3\xa9rieur) pour maintenir un environnement s\xc3\xa9curitaire
• Adh\xc3\xa9rer et se conformer aux politiques de l\'entreprise et proc\xc3\xa9dures.

Exigences:

• Bonne communication en anglais et fran\xc3\xa7ais & 25 ans et plus
• Bonnes comp\xc3\xa9tences interpersonnelles et de r\xc3\xa9solution de probl\xc3\xa8mes
• Exp\xc3\xa9rience professionnelle en tant qu\'agent de s\xc3\xa9curit\xc3\xa9 requise (2 ans)
• L\'exp\xc3\xa9rience en arts martiaux est un atout
• Certificat valide en Premiers Soins et RCR
• Capacit\xc3\xa9 physique \xc3\xa0 transporter des objets lourds et \xc3\xa0 rester debout pendant de longues heures
• Capacit\xc3\xa9 \xc3\xa0 rester calme et professionnel dans un environnement en \xc3\xa9volution rapide
• Flexibilit\xc3\xa9 pour travailler divers quarts de travail, y compris les fins de semaine, les soirs et les jours f\xc3\xa9ri\xc3\xa9s
