A career as a Section Manager in the Equipment Financing team at National Bank means contributing as a credit team player and risk specialist. This position allows you to have a positive impact on our organisation thanks to your expertise in risk management, loan structuring, credit underwriting and leadership.

Your job

Ensure profitable business growth and effective risk management, while complying with National Bank's policies and risk appetite. Manage and support a small team of underwriting professionals within the BC credit region, ensuring their development and performance. Assess and adjudicate credit applications within assigned limits, based on strong attention to detail, rigorous analysis and in-depth knowledge of risk mitigation strategies. Comply with service agreements and operational processes to support sales objectives while ensuring a solid risk management framework. Maintain close working relationships with internal stakeholders in order to offer value-added services and foster the growth of loans and new clients.

Prerequisites

Post-secondary studies related to business administration or equivalent work experience At least 6 years of experience in financial services, risk management, banking or commercial loans, including direct experience in team management. Proficiency in credit approval, with advanced skills in financial statement analysis and risk mitigation strategies
