School District 74 (Gold Trail) is honoured to operate on the unceded and traditional territory of the Nlaka'pamux, St'at'imc and Secwepemc First Peoples. The district is in BC's interior, where it serves 20 Indigenous communities and the municipalities of Ashcroft, Cache Creek, Clinton, Lillooet and Lytton. Leadership
Reporting to the Superintendent of Schools, the Secretary-Treasurer/CFO works collaboratively with the Board of Education, the Superintendent, all members of the leadership team, and school and district staff, in providing excellence in public education. The Secretary- Treasurer/CFO is responsible for:
Being the corporate secretary to the Board of Education.
Leading the finance, payroll and benefits, human resources, legal, facilities, technology, transportation teams and business activities of the District.
Fostering positive, collaborative and effective working relationships with the Board of Education, First Peoples Education Council, local First Nations, governments, education partners, and community organizations.

The district is seeking a:
Skilled financial leader who has excellent communication and relationship skills
Leader who is transparent, responsive, and collaborative
Leader with demonstrated successful experience in accounting, auditing, purchasing and budgeting
Qualifications
Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation in good standing; a related degree may be considered if supported by recent and relevant experience.
Successful experience working with an elected Board.
Proven financial management leadership experience in a public sector.
Experience with legal, labour, insurance and capital projects would be an asset.
Compensation
Salary range is $171,869 - 190,966. Gold Trail offers a competitive benefits and pension package.
