Responsibilities
Creating engaging lesson plans and work with students to ensure success. (Online or Onsite course)
Ensuring compliance with all Ontario Ministry of Education guidelines and curriculum requirements.
Preparing students for exams and competitions in your field.
Evaluating student progress continually and creating report cards on a monthly basis.
Enter students' midterm and final grades in the guidance system according to school requirements
Organize course binder and students' folder including gradebook/academic records, etc.
Attending teacher meetings to help give constructive feedback and suggestions for school improvement.
Requirement
Undergraduate degree in related field
Extensive knowledge of the current OSSD grade 9-12 curriculum, Ministry of Education growing success criteria and assessment requirements;
Curriculum development, conflict management, and evaluation experience
Minimum of two (2) years teaching experience
A demonstrated passion and commitment toward continued professional growth and development
Strong work ethic and commitment to teamwork
Experience working in an international academic setting (preferred)
Licence/Certification
Ontario College of Teachers Certificate (preferred)
