About Us

Established in 2017, Gear English is a language center focused on student success for English examination and ESL general training courses, specializing in IELTS examination preparation. We empower our students to communicate confidently verbally and in writing with English for success in their academic or career pursuits.

Our language center is currently seeking experienced and talented Math/English/Chemistry/Physics/Biology Tutors for our upcoming afterschool programs.

Responsibilities

-plan and deliver tutorials lessons of respective content (Math/Science/Chemistry/Physics/Biology/English)

-devise innovative learning and teaching strategies to retain student interest

-1 v 1 tutorial lesson teaching and small group (up to 5) teaching

-conduct practice tests and provide feedback to learners for improvement

-document student progress and conduct individual reviews

Qualifications and Experience

-Have 1+ years' experience teaching experience in respective subject of tutoring

-Have Bachelor's degree or higher in related subject or education

-Be computer literate with ability to use various programs (Microsoft Office, Google Classroom, ZOOM, VOOV)

-Have availability for weekends and weekday shifts

-Previous teaching experience with secondary / university students preferred

-Previous experience with, OSSD and/or IB curriculum or college/university curriculum preferred

-OCT membership preferred

-Previous Experience teaching Chinese students preferred

-Ability to teach in Mandarin and/or Cantonese in addition to English preferred

-Previous Experience teaching in hybrid mode preferred
