JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Treetop Chef, the Second Cook plays a vital role in supporting the kitchen team by preparing and assembling food items according to established recipes and standards. Responsibilities include prepping ingredients, cooking and plating meals to order, monitoring inventory levels, and maintaining cleanliness and food safety throughout the kitchen. This fast-paced, hands-on position requires strong culinary skills, teamwork, and the ability to perform under pressure, contributing directly to a smooth kitchen operation and an exceptional guest dining experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare and assemble food items according to recipes and standards while minimizing waste
Cook and plate tapas progression, ensuring quality, taste, and presentation meet guest expectations
Maintain a positive, professional, and collaborative team environment
Uphold kitchen cleanliness, food safety, and sanitation standards at all times
Ensure personal and professional appearance and hygiene are maintained
Assist with monitoring inventory levels and supporting efficient kitchen operations
QUALIFICATIONS
Proficiency in the English language (verbal and written)
Minimum two years' experience in cooking or food preparation (asset)
Highly organized, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Strong attention to detail; dependable, honest, and reliable
Red Seal Certification considered a strong asset
A team player with the ability to take direction, embrace feedback, and continuously grow skills
