As a Second Cook at Fairmont, you will be responsible for assisting the kitchen team in preparing and executing high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment. You will support the chefs in ensuring that all food preparation meets the Fairmont standards for taste, quality, and presentation.

Rate of Pay:

$19.75/hour

Job Duties Include:

Assist the First Cook, and Chefs in food preparation and cooking according to recipes and Fairmont standards. Ensure food is presented in an attractive manner and adheres to the established plating standards. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations. Ensure that station opening and closing procedures are carried out to standard Ensure proper handling, storage, and rotation of ingredients and supplies to minimize waste and prevent contamination Carry out any other tasks as assigned


Qualifications

Minimum 2 years cooking experience Experience in a luxury hotel with comparable service and standards an asset Certificate or Diploma from a recognized Culinary School an asset Physically fit to lift trays repeatedly, stand and walk for the duration of the shift.
