About Oakfield Golf and Country Club:

Oakfield Golf and Country Club is one of Nova Scotia's premier private golf clubs, known

for its welcoming community, scenic landscape, and commitment to excellence. Located

just outside of Halifax, Oakfield offers an 18-hole championship course and top-tier

facilities for both members and staff. We are currently seeking a motivated and dedicated

individual to join our Turf Management Team as a Second Assistant Superintendent.

Position Overview:

Reporting to the Golf Course Superintendent and First Assistant Superintendent, the

Second Assistant will play a key role in the daily maintenance and long-term care of the

golf course. This is a year-round position offering an excellent opportunity for professional

growth in a supportive and experienced team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the daily supervision and coordination of the grounds crew

Participate in the planning and execution of all agronomic practices, including
mowing, irrigation, fertilization, and pesticide applications

Monitor turf conditions and assist with pest/disease identification and management Help maintain equipment and irrigation systems Ensure safety and quality standards are consistently met Contribute to winter maintenance operations including equipment servicing, snow
removal, and course projects

Qualifications:

A diploma or degree in Turfgrass Management or a related field (or currently
enrolled)

Previous golf course maintenance experience is preferred
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
