The Corporation of the Township of North Huron is recruiting one (1) individual to fill the role of:

SEASONAL FULL-TIME ROADS OPERATOR

The Township of North Huron is seeking a Seasonal Full-Time Roads Operator to assist with the operations of the Public Works Department to cover the period from December 2025 to April 2026.

The Roads Operator is responsible for performing a variety of public works related tasks in both rural and urban settings within the Township of North Huron. Typical duties include but are not limited to repair and maintenance of municipal roads, sidewalks, parking lots, culverts, storm and sanitary sewer systems, water collection systems, and other designated Municipal infrastructure within the Township of North Huron.

Minimum Qualifications:

Grade 12 Diploma/GED or equivalent Valid class D driver's license with Z endorsement Ability to lift up to 50lbs Heavy Machinery certification or equivalent experience considered an asset Previous working experience and knowledge in construction practices Ontario Good Roads training considered an asset Experience and knowledge in vehicle and heavy equipment maintenance techniques Ability to operate a snow plow, road grader, other heavy equipment, power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently

Rate of Pay:

Band 5 ($25.58 - $34.53 per hour)

Hours of Work:

40 hours per week, shifts will include evenings and weekends as needed
