Job Description

We're looking for a friendly, professional Nurse Injector to join our team for the 2025 flu and COVID-19 vaccination season. This is a casual, seasonal position perfect for someone who enjoys connecting with patients in a welcoming, community-focused pharmacy setting.

At Airport Village Pharmasave, we take pride in caring for our neighbors and providing personalized service to everyone who walks through our doors. Our nurse injectors play a vital role in helping our community stay healthy and protected.

Responsibilities

Engage with patients to select appropriate vaccines, discuss possible side effects, and obtain informed consent. Administer vaccinations by injection (usually IM) according to standards of practice and current guidelines. Accurately record vaccination details in

IMMSBC

. Maintain current knowledge of influenza and COVID-19 vaccines, including public eligibility and drug information. Assist with managing vaccine and injection supply inventory. Ensure safe, effective, and compassionate care for all patients. Follow all regulatory, departmental, and company procedures.

Qualifications

Licensed

LPN, RN, or RPN

, in good standing with the

BC College of Nurses and Midwives

.

Injection Certification

and completion of

BCCDC Immunization Competency Courses

.

Standard First Aid / CPR Level C with AED

certification. Experience with

IMMSBC

is an asset (or equivalent flu/COVID vaccine experience). Trained in emergency response to anaphylaxis (EpiPen use). Comfortable vaccinating patients aged

4 years and older

(and intranasal administration for ages 2+ preferred). Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Organized, reliable, and able to work independently while supporting a collaborative team.
