We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Massage Therapist to join our wellness team. The ideal candidate will provide professional massage services aimed at promoting relaxation, pain relief, and overall well-being. This role requires a strong understanding of human physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to deliver tailored treatments that meet individual client needs. Candidates should possess excellent patient service skills and a commitment to enhancing client health through therapeutic techniques.
Duties
Perform a variety of massage techniques including deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy to address specific client concerns.
Conduct patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans based on individual health conditions and goals.
Utilize knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to ensure safe and effective therapy sessions.
Educate clients on post-treatment care and recommend ongoing wellness strategies.
Maintain detailed records of treatments provided and monitor client progress over time.
Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for all clients in accordance with occupational health standards.
Stay current with industry best practices and new therapeutic techniques through ongoing professional development.
Qualifications
Valid massage therapy license or certification in accordance with state regulations.
Proven experience in patient service, customer service, and occupational health within a medical spa or similar setting preferred.
Expertise in deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and pain management techniques.
Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to therapeutic massage.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to assess patient needs effectively.
Prior experience in med spa environments is highly desirable.
