Seasonal Labourer - Public Works

Position Conditions:

This position normally works full-time hours (40 hours per week) but the workday may include some evenings and/or weekends, and overtime as required. While this position is seasonal in nature, usually lasting until late fall or early winter, there is the possibility of longer assignment.

Rate of Pay:

$21.50 per hour

Closing Date:

August 1st, 2025, or until filled

PURPOSE OF POSITION

We currently have one (1) seasonal opportunity available in the Public Works Department to assist with the maintenance and repair of Municipal Public Works infrastructure including roadways, buildings, underground infrastructure, and various other tasks. You must enjoy working outdoors, performing regular physical activity that can be repetitive in nature and in all types of weather!

Preferred candidates will have:

Relevant work experience involving general labour or other related work;

Possess a valid Province of Manitoba driver's license;

Possess the ability to operate equipment;

Knowledge of municipal infrastructure.

Ability to lift, push, and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally lift and carry objects weighing up to 100 pounds utilizing safe work practices.

Ability to complete and receive a negative Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check
