Job Description

Cavendish Farms is a grower of quality potatoes, and a leading producer of frozen food products for the retail and foodservice markets throughout Canada and the United States. We have state-of-the-art potato processing plants in Prince Edward Island, Lethbridge, Alberta, and Jamestown, North Dakota, and an appetizer plant in Wheatley, Ontario. Our Head office is in Dieppe, New Brunswick and has sales office locations in Toronto, Montreal, and Boston.

Cavendish Farms is looking for Seasonal Farm Labourers and Operators at our O\'leary Potato Storage location starting the end of September and lasting for approximately 3 weeks.

Reporting to the Storage Manager, the successful candidates will be reliable, detail-oriented and interested in working in a fast paced environment.

*Please Note: A clean criminal background check and drug screen will be required prior to starting work.

Qualifications:

• No previous experience required - training provided
• Availability to work extended hours, evenings and weekends
• Ability to work independently and in a fast paced team environment
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• High degree of attention to detail and demonstrated ability to multi-task

Responsibilities:

• Potato grading
• Quality control
• Operate equipment in the potato warehouses (if qualified)
• All other duties as assigned

Rate of pay for this position is $18.46/hour plus an opportunity for a bonus upon completion.
