What you'll do

Collaborate with customers to understand their tailoring needs and preferences, providing personalized recommendations. Measure clients accurately to ensure the perfect fit for all garments. Operate sewing machines and hand-sew garments, making adjustments as necessary for quality and precision. Construct and alter garments, including dresses, suits, and casual wear, following design specifications. Maintain an organized workspace, ensuring all tools and materials are readily available for efficient operation. Perform basic math calculations for measurements and fabric requirements to ensure accurate cutting and sewing. Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving any issues related to alterations or garment care. Stay updated on fashion trends and techniques to enhance your skills and service offerings.

Basic qualifications

Proficient in sewing machine operation and hand-sewing techniques.

Preferred qualifications

Experience in fashion retail or a similar environment. Strong understanding of garment construction principles. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
