Company Introduction: T&T Supermarket Inc. was founded in 1993 with two stores in BC. Since then, it has expanded rapidly and is now Canada's largest Asian supermarket chain with 31 stores across the country: 13 in BC, 7 in Alberta, 10 in Ontario, and 1 in Quebec. The Company's continuous expansion is going to bring more new stores in the next couple of years.



The Role: Reporting to the Seafood Department Head (or his/her delegate), the Seafood Supervisor is responsible for supporting the Department Head and Assistant Department Head in providing guidance, supervision and is set as a good example for Seafood Assistants to follow.



Major Responsibilities: Conduct quality control during receiving; manage inventory and product quality in display cases, walk- in cooler & walk-in freezer; follow FIFO concept; ensure full display of various seafood products Provide guidance and supervision to Seafood Assistants; assist Department Head to train department staff Follow procedures to process expired products and manage shrinkage Prepare various seafood products for sales activities, include but not limited to catch, gut, descale, cut, wash, pack and label various seafood products and display them in the display coolers Greet customers by providing good customer service with smile, friendly enthusiasm Assist customers in selecting seafood products and provide recommendations to them, as required Handle customers' complaints, build rapport with our customers by providing good smile, eye contact and attention to them Lead by example by performing duties of Seafood Assistant as required Familiar with the location of various seafood items; keep self-updated with all in Seafood Department promotion activities

Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements: Flexible to work in shifts, including weekdays, weekends, evening hours and statutory holidays Have a good understanding of tools & equipments relevant to the job and know how to interpret labels of merchandises Be prepared to stand long time and to hands on dealing with seafood products(live & frozen) and lifting of products of 40 pounds on a regular basis Be prepared to work in low temperature (0-4 ?), freezing temperature (-18?), and wet environment for long time Possess basic computer skills in MS Office Not allergic in handling seafood products Good communication skills. Proficiency in French is required, knowledge of Chinese (Mandarin/Cantonese) is considered an asset * Possess knowledge in workplace health & safety
