The Scrum Master is a key role on one of seven Client Engagement Pods, within the Canadian Marketing team, under the Client Experience Office. Our Client Engagement Pods help our clients achieve financial security and well-being by proactively providing personalized, useful and actionable information. The program is a leading digital client engagement platform that has fuelled many Sun Life Canadian business units.
The Pod (Fire Pod) hosts a talented team of marketers, business and process owners, and change makers. Within Fire Pod, we turn raw ideas into real campaigns using a self-contained, self-governing group of experts who crave results.
The Scrum Master manages a team of 4 direct reports while ensuring the full agile marketing team lives agile values and principles. The responsibilities of this role include clearing obstacles; establishing an environment where the team can be effective; addressing team dynamics; ensuring a good relationship between the team, product owner and delivery as well as external stakeholders; and, protecting the team from outside interruptions and distractions.
The Scrum Master will be accountable for sustaining the transformation of Sun Life\xe2\x80\x99s marketing culture and process through the adoption of agile principles and values; for enabling the Agile Marketing team to maximize campaign quality and velocity; for strategic planning of initiative capacities from the company\xe2\x80\x99s digital marketing strategy portfolio.
The right candidate will have a record of accomplishment leading transformational efforts in high-performing marketing organizations or departments, with a focus on continuous improvement. The applicant should be a relentless advocate and problem solver for their teams \xe2\x80\x93 a leader who is passionate about clearing roadblocks, reducing complexity, solving stakeholder conflicts, creating value, and blowing performance targets out of the water.
