Whissell is currently looking for a Scraper Operator to join our Calgary team! The successful candidate will display high attention to detail as they assist the Team with tasks around the site.

Job Locations:

Must have valid driver's license and transportation to commute daily to site

General Responsibilities:

Operates in crowded, fast-paced working environments, and exercises extreme caution with awareness of potential situational hazards to ensure site safety. Performs effective and safe operation of equipment. Recognizes existing and potential hazards and knows how to identify these through conducting a field-level pre-job hazard analysis, checking the machine for hazards, and assessing any tasks before starting. Remove different types of dirt. Cutting to grade and filling to grade as instructed by the site foreman.

Experience/Qualifications:

2-3 or more years of running a Scraper Underground Utility and Earthworks construction experience are required. High attention to detail is required. Pay to be determined by skill and experience. Ensure compliance with all Company policies, OH & S Legislation, and WCB reporting procedures. Understand and maintain quality and production standards and work to achieve established production goals. Must have your own transportation. Must have own steel-toes safety boots.
