Job Title: SCM Operations Category Advisor
Location: Calgary, AB
Our client is seeking a SCM Operations Category Advisor to join their team. As a SCM Operations Category Advisor, you will be part of the Supply Chain Management department supporting the Operations Category Management team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, proactive communication, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.
:

  • Manage and oversee the lifecycle of procurement categories, including strategy development and execution.
  • Handle day-to-day contract administration, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
  • Support sourcing initiatives such as RFx creation, bid evaluations, negotiations, and award processes.
  • Facilitate post-award contract management activities, including KPI meetings, dispute resolution, and contract close-outs.
  • Collaborate with legal, risk management, HSE, and other subject matter experts to support commercial activities.
Qualifications:
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • Undergraduate degree in a technical or business discipline or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of procurement or contract management experience.
  • 4+ years of previous experience in category management.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, especially Word and Excel, and a solid understanding of sourcing and contracting lifecycle.
