As a Scientist, you will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop new analytical methods for product characterization. The successful candidate will build analytical platforms by working with a diverse set of technologies, such as chromatography, mass spectrometry, and bioanalytical techniques, while supporting the work of many different departments (e.g. Research and Development, Process Development, and Quality Control). STEMCELL is committed to continuous improvement and innovative scientific research, and in this role you will develop techniques at the frontier of protein characterization to support the entire lifecycle of our products.



Duties and Responsibilities

Perform characterization and quantitation of various proteins, antibodies, and antibody complexes for STEMCELL\xc3\xa2\xc2\x80\xc2\x99s raw materials, intermediates, and finished products

Contribute to the development, qualification, and transfer of new analytical methods, with a focus on LC, CE, mass spectrometry, and protein binding assays

Create high quality documentation of analytical methods, results, and reports to stakeholders

Deliver presentations and collaborate with key stakeholders across the company to develop strategies to improve product quality, yield, and margin

Support laboratory upkeep, safety, and development, including implementation of new technologies

Knowledge and Qualifications

PhD or Master\'s degree with 4+ years of industry experience or Bachelor\'s degree with 6+ years of industry experience

Expertise in characterization and analysis of diverse protein types using either bioanalytical assays (e.g., ELISA, SPR, BLI, CE) or LC methods (e.g., reverse phase, HILIC, size exclusion, ion exchange)

Exposure to protein and antibody characterization using mass spectrometry is an asset

Familiarity with QbD principles and regulatory requirements for ISO/cGMP products

Excellent written and oral communication skills
