Job Description
We are looking for an engaging and knowledgeable Science Educator to support high school students (Grades 9-12) in reaching their academic goals. Unlike a traditional classroom, this role focuses on
small-group instruction
to help students master the Ontario Ministry of Education curriculum, prepare for unit tests, and excel in final exams.Key Responsibilities
Identify specific learning gaps in a student's understanding and create custom strategies to bridge them. Assist students with school assignments and lab reports, ensuring they understand the "why" behind scientific concepts. Provide intensive preparation for midterms and final exams. Communicate regularly with parents about academic progress, confidence levels, and areas for improvement.
Required Qualifications & Skills
A Bachelor's Degree in Science (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics). Teaching Experience OCT - Nice to have
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 2 - 4 per week
Work Location: In person
