What you will do:
As a Bayshore School Nurse, you will:

• Provide individualized nursing care to students (e.g. seizure monitoring, tracheostomy/ventilator support, G-tube feeding, diabetic management)
• Collaborate with educators, families, and healthcare teams to ensure student safety and well-being
• Offer health education and promote independence for students wherever possible

This is a unique role where clinical nursing meets educational support - perfect for nurses who want to make a daily difference in a young person's life
Hours (depends on program):
Part Time (from 1-4 shifts per week)
School-based hours (approx. 5-7 hours per shift)
Weekends and holidays off - including March break, Winter and Summer break
No On-Call!
Location: Hamilton and surrounding areas. Daily visits within community to schools and client homes

Qualifications
What you bring:

• Minimum of one (1) to two (2) years of recent experience, preferably in a community setting as a healthcare professional
• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing, RN; (evidence required)
• Current registration, in good standing, with the provincial regulating body
• Previous experience with pediatrics, diabetes management, trach and vent an asset
• Additional training and certification such as CNA certifications, Learning Essentials for Advanced Palliative Care (LEAP), deSouza and other specialty training would be an asset to this role
• Valid Driver's License (G2 or G) and willing to drive own car in the community
