WHAT YOU\xe2\x80\x99LL DO
  • Report to the Supervisor, School Safety Patrol.
  • Organize and deliver effective training programs and initiatives that directly support the AMA School Safety Patrol program.
  • Review applications from new schools requesting the program based on established criteria and in collaboration with community partners (as applicable).
  • Plan, manage, and organize AMA School Safety Patrol events.
  • Train, coach and assess patrol safety procedures while keeping detailed and accurate records, as well as making recommendations for further learning.
  • Build lasting connections with key stakeholders, associations, and organizations by embodying the TYLF (Treat you like Family & Friends) culture.
  • Represent AMA at community and traffic-safety related events, including general media, and work with community stakeholders to further program objectives.
  • Promote key AMA advocacy messaging while helping to enhance AMA\xe2\x80\x99s brand in the community.
  • Monitor regional program budgets to ensure accountability.
WHAT YOU\xe2\x80\x99VE DONE
  • You have a post-secondary diploma in related fields such as early childhood development or program delivery. A degree in education, public relations, or other field would be considered an asset.
  • You have a history of building strong partnerships with community organizations such as law enforcement, schools, government, and not-for-profit organizations.
  • You have solid computer skills and can easily adapt to using new technology.
  • You understand event planning, event hours and are not afraid to set up, tear down, and adhere to safety.
  • You hold a valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license and access to a personal vehicle.
  • You can produce a current and clear Vulnerable Sector Police Information Check.
