As a School Campus Security guard, there is a high focus on Scheduled Patrols, Desk duties, Report writing and exceptional customer service since you will be working with people all shift, in environments in a school environment

Responsibilities for School Campus Security Guard

Customer service duties like welcome, verify identity, and guide visitors Deter potential threats and ensure the security of the area Respond to emergencies on a required basis Assist tenants by providing requested services. Perform checks of mechanical and utility rooms during the shift. Monitor stairwells and common areas for cleanliness and safety. Conduct exterior checks of building entrances and parking areas. Record readings from utility meters as needed. Conduct general patrols of the premises to ensure safety and security Check all doors and ensure they are closed and not jimmied anyway to allow for entrance Access control at all entry and exit ways Report every incident and tenant complaint to the client

Qualifications for School Campus Security Guard

Be authorized to work in Canada Hold a valid Manitoba security license Exceptional customer service skills Proficient in basic phone & computer skills Good verbal and written communication skills Ability to work in a stressful environment Comfortable with interacting with unauthorized individuals Good with technology-based systems
