Primary Responsibilities

School Bus Monitors are responsible for supervising what we call "the most precious cargo" to and from school while ensuring students' safety while boarding and exiting buses. A School Bus Monitor works a split shift, assisting in the transportation of students to and from school Monday to Friday from September to June. Monitors ensure children's safety and ensures that safe work practices are followed.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will posses the following qualifications that include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Must have a current criminal record check and vulnerable positions screening and provide a copy for personnel file
• Ability to work in a partnership with driver
• Demonstrate excellent customer service skills
• Experience working with children or individuals with special needs an asset
