Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Bus Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing safe and reliable transportation, particularly for children and seniors. This role requires excellent communication skills, customer service orientation, and the ability to manage various situations with professionalism. A strong background in commercial driving is essential, along with the capability to engage positively with passengers.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a bus while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. Ensure the safety and well-being of passengers during transit, particularly children and seniors. Assist passengers in boarding and alighting from the bus, providing support as needed. Maintain a clean and orderly bus environment. Communicate effectively with passengers regarding routes, schedules, and any changes. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure mechanical safety. Report any incidents or mechanical issues promptly to management. Foster a positive atmosphere by engaging with passengers in a friendly manner.

Qualifications

Experience working with children or in senior care is highly desirable. Bilingual candidates fluent in both Spanish and English are preferred. Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on communication and interpersonal relations. Valid commercial driving license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for passenger transport. Mechanical knowledge to identify basic vehicle issues is advantageous. Teaching or mentoring experience is a plus, especially when working with children or seniors. Excellent writing skills for documentation purposes related to vehicle inspections and incident reports. Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $21.08-$21.50 per hour
