Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Bus Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing safe and reliable transportation, particularly for children and seniors. This role requires excellent communication skills, customer service orientation, and the ability to interact positively with passengers of all ages. A strong understanding of vehicle mechanics and commercial driving regulations is essential.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a bus while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. Ensure the safety and well-being of all passengers during transit. Maintain a clean and organized bus interior. Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition. Communicate effectively with passengers, parents, and staff regarding schedules and any changes. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing passenger inquiries or concerns promptly. Document any incidents or mechanical issues as required by company policy.

Qualifications

Experience working with children or in senior care settings is preferred. Strong customer service skills with a focus on communication and interpersonal interactions. Valid B driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record is required. Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks is beneficial. Teaching or mentoring experience is a plus, especially when interacting with younger passengers. Strong writing skills for documentation purposes related to daily operations. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract

Pay: $21.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week

North York, ON (M7A): reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Experience:

Bus driving experience.: 1 year (required)
Licence/Certification:

Class B Licence (required)
