EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY - BUS DRIVER- 5 POSTIONS

ENOCH CREE NATION KITASKINAW EDUCATION AUTHORITY

OPEN COMPETITION

JOB PURPOSE:

The Bus Driver is responsible for providing transportation of students to and from

school within and outside of Enoch Cree Nation utilizing large fleet vehicles.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

o

Provide Transportation for the Enoch Cree Nation Students to and from school(s).

o

Report to the Supervisor if any need vehicle repairs are needed or other concerns.

o

Drivers are responsible for all interior and exterior cleaning of their assigned Bus.

o

Drivers Must complete daily safety Pre-trip and post-trip of their assigned Bus, including any

fluid top-ups needed will be the responsibility of the Driver.

o

Bus Drivers will be on call on weekends and evenings after 4:30 pm.

o

Cellular phones must be turned on throughout the day during normal working hours.

o

Under no circumstance will the Bus be used for personal use.

o

Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS:

o

Must have worked in a similar capacity in the past

o

Computer literate

o

Must have a clean criminal record

o

Must have and provide a clean driver's abstract

o

Must have a valid Alberta driver's license (class 1 or 2 as well as S endorsement)

o

Must be certified in First Aid

o

Ability to deal with staff and clientele in a professional manner.

o

Ability to work affectively with adults, elders, and young children.

o

Proficient knowledge of driving routes in and around Edmonton and surrounding areas. Must be

o

willing to take any training provided.

o

Preferably completion of grade 12 or equivalent (G.E.D)

o

Ability to work quickly and accurately with figures

o

Minimum of 2 years working in a similar capacity on and off reserve.

o

Good verbal and written communication skills

o

Strong decision-making skills

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Will be required to work at either of the Enoch Cree Nation Kitaskinaw Education Authority Buildings for an 8-hour shift in accordance to the ECN Human Resource Policy & Procedure Manual - Section C.
