Job Summary
School Bus Driver will be responsible for safely transporting students to and from school, and field trips while maintaining the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and customer service. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage passengers calmly and respectfully.
Drivers will be required to use an app on a tablet. Strong digital skills and the ability to efficiently navigate tablets, mobile applications, and other technology tools are essential for this role.
Duties
Safely operate a school bus along assigned routes. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus. Ensure student safety during boarding, transit, and drop-off. Maintain excellent communication with dispatch. Manage unexpected situations on the road calmly and professionally. Follow all company policies, local traffic laws, and Ministry of Transportation regulations.
Experience
Valid
Ontario Class B (preferred) or E Driver's License
Clean driver's abstract and satisfactory criminal background check (VSS). Minimum3 years of insurance verifiable driving experience
. Excellent communication and problem solving skills. Punctual, dependable, and safety-focused. Ability to manage student behaviour calmly and respectfully.Strong digital tech skills with ability navigate tablets, mobile apps, and other digital tools with ease.
Job Type: Fixed term contract
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
