School Aged Child Care Worker

Join our team at Seedlings Child Care Centre, conveniently located in Central Richmond just steps away from the Canada Line (SkyTrain).
We welcome you to be part of a positive and supportive team environment where our focus is on fostering a sense of belonging, well-being, expression, and engagement for children. Through the development and delivery of age-appropriate programs, our educators plan, prepare, guide, and assist children in daily indoor and outdoor activities, all rooted in a child-centered curriculum.
YOUR IMPACT:

Plan school-age programs using a variety of child development strategies that respond to the diverse needs and interests of the children.
Initiate learning opportunities that support social, creative, and recreational skill development, and actively participate in activities alongside the children.
Engage with children in a wide range of indoor and outdoor activities.
Build respectful relationships that promote dignity and self-determination.
Maintain a safe, healthy, and welcoming environment.
Provide meaningful feedback and information to parents and families regarding their child's learning, development, interests, and emerging skills
YOUR CAPABILITIES:
Relevant post-secondary education in a related field.
Experience supporting children in a similar environment.
Current CPR and First Aid certification.
Clear and up-to-date Criminal Record Check.
Valid BC Driver's License.
Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage at all levels of the organization.
Reliable problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication abilities.

*Please note that some positions within this program involve working afternoon shifts during the school year, typically from
2:00 PM to 6:00 PM
. Full-day shifts are also available during Pro-D Days and school break periods.
