Position Summary:

As a member of the Administration team at the site and in accordance with Covenant Care's Mission, Vision, and Values, the Administrative Assistant provides clerical and general office support services for the program including the responsibility of scheduling staff. The successful incumbent will ensure that employees are scheduled appropriately for work in accordance with policies, procedures, budgets and contractual obligations of Covenant Care, using appropriate scheduling/payroll software and fill available shifts due to sick calls, etc., if required. This role provides an essential customer service to the employees of Covenant Care. Other duties include maintaining personnel files, completing hire documents and entering bi-weekly payroll in a timely manner. Performing other duties as may be required (screening, scheduling interviews, etc.,), this position is responsible for maintaining highly confidential personal and medical information concerning employees and residents.
This position will:

Qualifications:
  • Certificate in Secretarial/Administrative Assistant required
  • Dayforce HRIS experience preferred
  • Five (5) years of administrative/scheduling experience required (In a supportive living environment preferred)
  • Courteous in receiving and assisting residents, families, volunteer and visitors
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products and desktop publishing programs
  • Ability to set priorities, self motivated, able to work under pressure and deal with people in a conflict situation
  • Ability to maintain good working relations with staff, public and outside agencies
  • Flexibility with changes in the organization and maintain a positive outlook
