POSITION SUMMARY
We're seeking an experienced Schedule Manager to oversee and optimize project timelines for large-scale data center and industrial construction projects. In this role, you will manage all aspects of project scheduling using Primavera P6, ensuring complete alignment between engineering, procurement, and construction activities. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience from commercial or industrial projects--preferably data centers--and demonstrate exceptional analytical, coordination, and communication skills to drive on-time, high-quality project delivery.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop, maintain, and manage detailed project schedules using Primavera P6, covering design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout phases.
Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, Superintendents, and Procurement teams to define sequencing logic, durations, and resource allocations.
Conduct critical path analyses, monitor progress, and report schedule variances with recommended recovery actions.
Facilitate schedule review and risk analysis workshops, identifying potential bottlenecks and mitigation strategies.
Maintain and update baseline schedules, ensuring compliance with change management processes.
Integrate and align schedules with budget forecasts, procurement deliverables, and subcontractor timelines.
Prepare progress reports, S-curves, and milestone trend charts for internal and client stakeholders.
Ensure schedule data accuracy, documentation integrity, and adherence to DEC's project controls standards.
Drive schedule discussions in project coordination meetings and hold stakeholders accountable for timeline commitments.
Support integration of scheduling data with Procore, ERP tools, or Primavera Risk Analysis for comprehensive reporting.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Degree or diploma in
Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Controls
, or a related discipline.
Experience:
Minimum 5-8 years of experience as a Scheduler or Schedule Manager in EPC or large-scale industrial/commercial construction.
Prior experience with data center or mission-critical infrastructure projects is strongly preferred.
Technical Skills:
Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 (required).
Experience with Primavera Risk Analysis, MS Project, or Procore scheduling modules.
Strong understanding of Critical Path Method (CPM), float, and resource levelling principles.
Analytical Skills:
Excellent ability to interpret, visualize, and communicate schedule data.
Skilled in delay analysis, risk assessment, and performance forecasting.
Soft Skills:
Organized, proactive, and solution-oriented.
Strong communication and collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams.
Comfortable working in fast-paced, deadline-driven project environments.
Certifications (a plus):
PMI Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP) or Primavera P6 Professional Certification.
Additional certifications in Project Controls or Risk Management are an asset.
