J.D. Irving, Limited Woodlands Division is currently seeking candidates for the position of Scaler located in Saint John, New Brunswick.

Qualifications:

• Education Required:

• Trade Certification or Associate\xe2\x80\x99s Degree
• Scaling license or willingness to obtain
• Candidates must be able to work on their own with minimal supervision
• Highly developed communication skills and attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for performing various quality tests on wood chips and hog fuel
• Maintenance and testing of the truck scale, as well as load slip control will be within the scope for this position
• Maintain various data bases to process transactions
• Good communication skills are a must as the candidate will be dealing directly with persons bringing shipments of wood to the premises
• Provide accurate estimates on various chip piles on a daily and weekly basis
