Description

:

Barber Collins security is looking for a full time Security Guard to work during the week at a trucking scaling facility that deals with animal products.

Please Note:

The location of this position is in Dundas, Ontario,

not

Dundas, Toronto.

All candidates must have access to their own vehicle as this location does not have a bus route.

Shifts:

Must be able to commit to the assigned schedule consisting of:

Monday to Friday from 2 pm to 10 pm (40 hours per week)

No weekends 40 hours per week Evening shift

Responsibilities:

Primarily focused on scaling trucks that carry animal product. Record the applicable data on the established computer system as each truck arrives. Protect company's property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment. Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences. Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates. Watch alarm systems or video cameras and operate detecting/emergency equipment. Access control for the facility/area. Ensuring that the facility's safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to site emergencies. Demonstrating judgement, common sense, and decision-making ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents.

Skills:

Proven work experience as a security guard or relevant position. Trained Security Guard with a diploma in a related field. Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment. Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols. Surveillance skills and detail orientation. Integrity and professionalism. Ability to operate security equipment/systems, computers, radios, phones. Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills.

Pay: $18.25 per hour
