Job Description

North-Wood Environmental Services (NWES) is a leading environmental contracting company providing exceptional environmental services to our clients. We are looking for personable, hard-working, and physically capable persons to join us as a Scale Attendant at our Solid Waste Eco Depots. Locations: Logan Lake, Lytton and Lower Nicola (Merritt). You will be reporting directly to the area Supervisor. Skills Required:

• Able to listen, communicate and take direction
• Able to work individually and as a team
• Detail orientated with strong interpersonal skills

Duties include:

• Operate the scale efficiently and accurately
• Weighing of vehicles while directing customer to specific offloading areas
• Complete required paperwork, reporting, and other documentation
• Collection of fees and issuing of receipts
• Handling facility records ensuring organization and filing
• Ensuring all visitors follow our policies and procedures
• Able work in a variety of different weather conditions
• Capable of lifting up to 50lbs
• Other duties as required including, but not limited to, assisting other team members for a clean and organized work site while ensuring process flow and safe operations

Qualifications:

• Proficient with computers, Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc), and capable of easily learning new software systems (Training provided)
• Customer service experience
• Strong organizational skills
• Be a team player and contribute where needed

Full-time and Part Time positions available. Each facility has their own core facility hours, and you may be required to work weekends and holidays. Coverage is important and opportunities for working within surrounding area Eco Depots are available.
