Responsibilities include:
- Develop and review detailed work plans in alignment with client workface planning requirements.
- Supervise, direct, and coordinate onsite scaffolding crews to ensure safe and efficient completion of daily tasks.
- Conduct inspections of installed scaffolds to verify compliance with engineering specifications, safety codes, and quality standards; identify and resolve deficiencies.
- Oversee project execution to meet budget, schedule, and quality targets.
- Validate and approve daily labour, equipment, and material reports prepared by the Project Coordinator.
- Coordinate field activities and communications between the client, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain overall execution plans, schedules, and cost-tracking systems for scaffolding operations.
- Ensure all project documentation is accurate and up to date, including drawings and revisions, contract changes (CICs, SIs, RFIs), QA/QC records, and all correspondence. Maintain and enforce proper use of FIWPs.
- Oversee scaffolding material inventory, including tracking, forecasting, and coordinating material orders to ensure adequate supply, minimize waste, and support efficient field execution.
- Lead by example in promoting a strong safety culture, ensuring adherence to PACLP and client safety requirements.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas to support operational efficiency and hazard control.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
Journeyperson Scaffolder or equivalent experience;
Minimum 5-10 years of scaffolding experience, including supervisory or superintendent-level roles;
Strong knowledge of scaffold design, construction practices, and applicable safety standards;
Proven leadership and crew-management skills;
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and documentation abilities;
First Aid Certification;
Computer literate and familiar with Microsoft applications. Ability to learn new software is essential;
Leadership in Safety Excellence certificate;
Willingness to work a flexible schedule and travel as needed.
