About this position





The SCA, Avionics is responsible for repairing or fabricating Avionics parts / harnesses. Certification of the parts repaired or fabricated within the shop level authority as listed in the MCM.


Please note: This is an 8 month opportunity beginning on January 1, 2026




Duties & Responsibilities:




Report to the applicable Supervisor for the assignment and performance of work; Perform work to the appropriate procedures manual utilizing approved methods and materials; Be familiar with all procedures to follow for maintenance and repairs to the aircraft and/or equipment he is requested to work on; Perform work on aircraft and components as outlined by applicable Work Sheets, Forms, Work Orders, Special Bulletins and Procedures Manuals in conformity with accepted practices; Sign for each item of work performed in the appropriate area on the applicable Work Sheets, Work Cards, Inspection Sheets or other required documentation used during the particular maintenance activity; Sign the Journey Logbook for work accomplished or that has been accomplished under his supervision; Contact immediate Supervisor for instructions if in doubt about any specific procedure, method or rectification to be used; Perform all work in a safe, efficient, and economic manner; Observe rules of cleanliness, keep the work area clean and assist in the maintenance and cleaning of the hangar and shop areas, and; Comply with the SMS reporting program and adhere to the Corporate Safety Policy In addition to the list above, certified Technicians are responsible for quality control functions with respect to the work performed.

Skills & Qualifications:




Must be a graduate from an approved Avionics maintenance training program, or equivalent related work experience; Must have a Transport Canada AME "E" license; ATR-42 Endorsement considered an asset; Boeing 737 Experience considered an asset Must be adept at managing multiple priorities and deadlines; Must possess an ability to work in a fast paced, team oriented environment; Must possess an ability to assist with maintenance tasks; Must possess a valid driver's license; Must be able to perform basic troubleshooting; Must be able to read and install wire diagrams; Must be able to perform shift work as required; Ability to communicate in Inuktut a definite asset; Ability to obtain and retain an Airport Restricted Area Identity Card in accordance with the Airport Restricted Area Access Clearance Program regulated by Transport Canada.
