Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Woodwinds/Piano Teacher to inspire students of all ages in developing their musical skills. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in music instruction, a love for teaching, and experience working with students of all ages. This role involves creating engaging lessons tailored to individual student needs, fostering a positive learning environment, and encouraging musical growth. The instructor will play a vital role in nurturing students' artistic talents and building their confidence through music education.

Responsibilities

Design and deliver personalized piano lessons to students of various skill levels and ages Develop lesson plans that incorporate technical skills, music theory, and performance techniques Assess student progress regularly and adjust teaching methods accordingly Prepare students for recitals, exams, or performances as needed Foster a supportive and motivating classroom environment that encourages creativity and learning Communicate effectively with students and parents regarding progress and upcoming events Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming learning space Stay updated on new teaching techniques and musical repertoire to enhance instruction quality

Skills

Proven experience in tutoring or teaching piano to diverse age groups Strong knowledge of saxophone and piano techniques, music theory, and early childhood education principles Experience working with children and understanding their developmental needs Excellent communication skills to engage students effectively Ability to create fun, interactive, and age-appropriate lesson plans Classroom experience or background in early childhood education is preferred Patience, enthusiasm, and the ability to motivate students of varying skill levels Additional skills such as cooking are not required but may be considered a bonus for creating engaging activities outside of lessons
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $32.00-$36.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 4 per week
