Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Sawmill Worker to join our team at Harry Freeman & Son Ltd. This position is vital to our operations, involving the processing of lumber and ensuring that our high standards of quality and safety are met.
Responsibilities
Sorting, piling, and transporting wood products
Pulling and piling heavy lumber in both an internal/external environment
Stacking stickers into a machine
Cleaning machines and work area
Assisting other production workers as required
Working in a safe manner ensuring that all safety procedures and applicable codes are followed
Requirements
Maintain productivity and quality while ensuring compliance with all safe work practices and health and safety policies and procedures
Effectively work as part of a team
Work with minimal supervision
Ability to multi-task while working under pressure and adapting quickly to change
Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
Computer skills including Microsoft Office Programs
Must be physically capable of bending, reaching, lifting and able to work in extreme environments (hot, cold, rain, snow)
Availability to work shiftwork (day/evening shifts)
