Overview

We are seeking a skilled Sawcutter to join our team in a dynamic manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a walk behind slab saw to cut materials according to specifications, ensuring precision and quality in every cut. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting. This candidate will be required to work within one of the divisions of the company as we don't have full time sawcutting needs but do require sawcutting on a semi-regular basis.

Duties

Operate saw cutting machinery to cut concrete and asphalt as per production requirements. Measure and mark materials accurately prior to cutting to ensure compliance with specifications. Maintain equipment by performing routine checks and basic maintenance tasks. Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines. Keep work area clean and organized, adhering to company standards for cleanliness and safety.

Experience

Previous experience as a Sawcutter or in a similar role is preferred. Familiarity with various types of saws and cutting techniques is advantageous. Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings is a plus. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Basic mechanical skills for equipment maintenance are desirable.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour
