Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Saw Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various saws and cutting equipment to produce high-quality materials according to specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical processes and the ability to read blueprints, ensuring precision in all cutting tasks.

Responsibilities

Operate saws and cutting machines. Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine specifications for cuts. Perform routine maintenance on saws and related machinery to ensure optimal performance. Monitor the quality of cut materials, making adjustments as necessary to meet production standards. Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and maintain a safe working environment. Utilize basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to cutting processes. Assist in training new operators on equipment operation and safety protocols.

Experience

Previous experience as a Saw Operator or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment is preferred. Proficiency in operating cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment is advantageous. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively. Familiarity with operating milling machine. Experience with press brake machines is beneficial for this position. Ability to read blueprints accurately and apply basic math skills in practical scenarios.

Pay: $16.75-$30.29 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 45 per week
