Job Description

Our Toronto based client is seeking an experienced SAP S/4 HANA Finance Functional/Technical Developer to join their team on a full time permanent basis. This will be a hybrid work setting.

• The SAP S/4 HANA Finance Functional/Technical Developer will come from a strong background in ABAP development, including custom reports, enhancements, interfaces, and forms and also have experience with the Finance (FI) module with a proven ability to perform hands-on configuration in the FI module, including account determinations, fiscal year variants, and tax configurations.
• Understanding of integration points between FI and other SAP modules like SD (Sales and Distribution), MM (Materials Management), and PP (Production Planning).
• Experience with integration to SAC is an asset.
• Experience with SAP Fiori apps for Finance and reporting.
• Familiarity with BRF+ for business rules management.
• Will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining SAP solutions to meet the business requirements.
• The ideal candidate comes from a technical background, who has maneuvered to the FI module in a Functional capacity. There is a small SCM team and this candidate will help lead the Finance side.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to improve and streamline processes
• Strong background in ABAP development, including custom reports, enhancements, interfaces, and forms.
• Knowledge of financial accounting and reporting processes.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Perform daily maintenance, monitoring, and administration of SAP S/4HANA system.
• Design and build SAP solutions including but not limited to: SAP Analytics Cloud, API connectivity to 3rd party solution providers (payments, taxes, Etc.),Electronic bank statements,Data transformation from internal production systems, Approval workflows.
• Create and maintain documentation of SAP S/4HANA system.
• Review and establish controls based on feedback from client internal auditors.
• Build custom reports to support stakeholder requirements.
• Support Finance team during month-end close activities.
