Job Type: Full-time



The Sanitation Associate / CIP Technician is responsible for ensuring cleanliness and sanitation of equipment, production lines, and facility areas following company procedures and regulatory standards (FDA, USDA, OSHA, etc.). This includes operating Clean-in-Place (CIP) systems, performing manual cleaning, and maintaining detailed sanitation records to support food/product safety and quality programs.

Key Responsibilities:



Operate and monitor Clean-in-Place (CIP) systems to clean tanks, lines, and processing equipment. Perform manual cleaning of non-CIP areas, including walls, floors, conveyors, and hard-to-reach parts. Dismantle and reassemble equipment for deep cleaning, as required. Follow Master Sanitation Schedules (MSS) and document all sanitation activities accurately. Mix and handle cleaning chemicals safely according to SDS and company policies. Conduct post-cleaning inspections to ensure compliance with sanitation standards. Collaborate with QA and Maintenance to identify sanitation-related issues and corrective actions. Maintain and organize sanitation tools and supplies. Assist in pre-operational inspections before production start-up. Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety, and hygiene standards. Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or product contamination risks immediately.

Qualifications:



High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous sanitation experience in a food, beverage, or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment is a plus. Familiarity with CIP systems and cleaning chemicals preferred. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English. Comfortable working with hot water, chemicals, and in wet environments. Ability to lift 50 lbs, bend, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Work Environment:



Exposure to wet, humid, cold, or hot conditions. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required. Fast-paced, physical environment with strict hygiene standards.
