Sanitation Technician

Job Description
Position Summary:
Reporting to the Quality Manager, the primary purpose of this position is to help ensure the company maintains compliance with domestic and international regulatory authorities through approved sanitation practices.
Key responsibilities will include:
Assist in cleaning and sanitization duties of production areas by following established checklists and procedures
Assist in pest control monitoring
Outside yard work including snow removal and lawn care
Manage waste flow stream in accordance with procedures
Other duties as required.
Qualifications: Minimum
Work independently and quickly to meet changing priorities
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
The ability to follow instructions / procedures.
Flexible in changing tasks
Ability to prioritize tasks
Pro-active
Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Qualifications: Desirable but not essential as training will be provided
Training in Forklift Operation
Fire extinguisher use
Safe lifting techniques
WHMIS
Health & Safety training
Working Conditions:
Ability to work in very hot/very cold work environments
Dusty environment
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $21.74 per hour
