EDSS Sanitation Solutions is looking for a Sanitation Supervisor to join our team of cleaning and sanitation experts to help service our customers. Our clients are in the food processing industry. Supervise sanitation workers and EDSS activities at the client's facility. Leadership, problem solving, customer service, organizational skills are necessary for this position
Responsibilities:
On-site Supervision of all EDSS Activities.
Lead and direct sanitation worker's activities
Accountable for results as measured by pre-op/post-op testing which includes microbial and bioluminescence swabbing. Ensure non-compliances or reoccurrences are dealt with on the spot to prevent any future reoccurrences.
Develop, update and ensure that programs, policies and documentation for sanitation procedures and SSOP plans for the facility and plant equipment are compliant with company and regulatory product quality standards, sanitation standards, food safety standards, employee safety standards and environmental standards.
Investigate and identify root causes for SSOP deviations.
Define and ensure implementation of corrective action plan.
Drive continuous improvement and total employee involvement by providing training sessions for safety, chemical usage and sanitation procedures for sanitation employees.
Enforce GMP's, implement HACCP processes and procedures.
Implement Master Sanitation Schedule.
Track departmental budget and take appropriate actions to control sanitation costs, including chemicals, equipment, supplies and labor.
Collaborate with customer QA managers to define and improve sanitation and food safety programs and work very closely with our QA.
Maintain staff by hiring, firing, orienting and training employees.
Plan assign and direct work of employees.
Coach, counsel and discipline employees.
Administer system, policies and procedures.
Provide on-site Health & Safety Incident reporting and investigation.
Requirements:
Degree in related field preferable.
Experience in food safety, quality assurance of sanitation.
Knowledge of micro sample collection and analysis, including the ability to interpret results and take corrective action.
Knowledge of chemicals and their appropriate use
Knowledge of food processing equipment and RTE
Familiarity with SQF, HAACP, SSOP, SOP, Health & Safety standards and regulations.
Proficient with computers and various software packages, ie Excel, Word
Mechanically inclined
Strong training and communication skills
Punctual, Reliable and dependable
Read and write English
Have full G/G2 drivers license and vehicle(Preferred)
Works night shift
