Position Summary
Reporting to the Sanitation Manager, the Sanitation Planner is responsible for planning and coordinating the cleaning and sanitation of processing equipment, utensils, and the entire plant environment, including scheduling and allocating sanitation crews. Assist the Sanitation Manager in overseeing the sanitation tasks, ensuring that Tradition fine foods facility remains clean and tidy, and conforms to all the required sanitation standards.
Key Responsibilities
Supports and updates the Master Sanitation Schedule in the CEPS database as required.
Assesses, allocates, and arranges the necessary resources to handle sanitation work requests, creating a preliminary priority.
confirms the accuracy and clarity of sanitation work requests by reviewing specifications with the work order creator and defining the work's completion date.
On a daily and regular basis, issues sanitation work orders for non-compliance (NCRs) and implements corrective measures to ensure compliance to all quality assurance food safety regulations.
Exams, modifications, and updates Standard Operating Procedures for Sanitation (SSOPs)
Supports training to ensure that employees are meeting all job expectations and that they comply with to any company and regulatory regulations.
Places orders, monitors inventory, and stores cleaning supplies and sanitizers securely.
Corrective actions and pest control documentation are finished, filed, and documented.
Supports Sanitation Manager in maintaining to operating budget and timely payment of invoices.
Gathers and arranges all the information needed for the hygienic activities, including extra training materials, emails, SSOP, MSDS, and special procedures.
Oversees the backlog and task status for sanitation from work order submission to work order completion.
Before assigning jobs, confirm that the necessary labor, supplies, and information are available. possesses good communication skills with sanitation supervisors.
Actively participate in scheduling meetings with operations and technical service teams to determine best times for downtime, the necessary lead times for a successful line startup following sanitation activities and order of importance for sanitation work order to maintain food safety compliance
Follows up and communicates schedules to all resources
Ensures the health, safety, cleanliness, and security of the work environment.
Ensures compliance with all product safety, legality, and quality requirements.
Understands and follows all HACCP, SQF and Safety/Security Policies and Procedures.
Ensures parts/materials organized, responsible for inventory replenishment
May be required to stand/sit for long periods of time.
May engage in frequent bending, stooping or squatting.
Due to the environment, must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions which include heat, humidity and cold.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 35 lbs.
Must be able to work in tight or enclosed spaces.
Conduct all Job Tasks in a Safe and Responsible manner.
Participate in all Health and Safety, GMP and HACCP training as required.
Report any accidents, incidents and unsafe/hazardous conditions to your lead hand/supervisor.
Report any damages of property and machinery to your lead hand/supervisor.
Ensure that you understand how and when to use the Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) that is located in your work area.
Ensure you comply with OHSA, WSIB, MOL regulations and/or laws that govern "workers".
Key Requirements
A related certificate in a specialized training or in a recognized technical program with 1-3 years' experience in a similar role preferred
A proven business sense with strong troubleshooting, problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Excellent teamwork, communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
The ability to organize and prioritize workload
High degree of initiative and self-motivation
Computer competence: Microsoft office Windows programs (Excel, Word, Power Point)
Previous supervisory / lead experience is an asset.
Demonstrated strengths in organizational, planning and resourcing skills.
Excellent communication with follow-up skills is required. The ability to meet deadlines is essential.
Familiarity with the sanitation processes and system software is an asset.
Must be a proven team player and work well in a multi-tasking, fast paced environment.
Flexible to work different work schedules when needed

Pay: $24.00-$25.00 per hour
