About the role

.

McCain Foods Florenceville Potato Plant is currently looking to add a permanent full-time Sanitation Operator to our day-based sanitation team. This position works on a rotating schedule of 4 days on (6:00am - 6:00pm), followed by 4 days off and every scheduled Sanitation day. This position reports to the Sanitation Lead Hand and is responsible for the sanitation and cleanliness of our plant.

What you'll be doing.

Responsible for the completion of all documentation and system procedures for the Processing area. Comply with all safety standards and principles set forth by McCain Foods during employee orientation. Responsible to perform housekeeping duties and maintain and clean the work environment. Work on chemical systems, and receive appropriate allergy training. Actively participate in team meetings. Dealing with the day-to-day issues of operating in a fast-pasted, temperature controlled (to 10 C) environment.

What you'll need to be successful.

Grade 12 or GED required. Must be able to work shift schedules, including weekends. Knowledge of computer operations, particularly SAP is considered an asset. Must be mechanically inclined and able to withstand heavy lifting (up to 40 lbs unassisted). Ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be willing to cross train. Example: Cutter Deck/ Potato Receiving/ Batter. Ability to respond to unexpected circumstances calmly and responsibly. Willing to obtain WHMIS training and lift truck license as well as Scissor- Lift and Zoom Boom and other training or courses as required.

Compensation Package

Starting at22.24 CAD hourly + Bonus eligibility + Hourly Pay Differential for applicable shifts
