Position Title: Sanitation OperatorPosition Type: Regular - Full-Time \xe2\x80\x8bPosition Location: CoaldaleRequisition ID: 28728Summary: Responsible for the overall sanitation of the specialty line. The operator is cross trained to support the mixing deck operator and fryer operator.Essential Duties / Responsibilities:

• Complete routinely scheduled sanitation tasks including high pressure washing, scrubbing, deep cleaning, waste disposal, and general housekeeping.
• Relieves Mixer Deck Operator and Fryer Operator as required.
• Responsible for mixing, handling and distributing all chemicals and cleaning supplies in the plant.
• Ensure all chemicals on site are properly identified, labeled and CFIA approved.
• Perform corrective actions to resolve issues identified in daily Food Safety and Sanitation audits.
• Take a lead role in the completion of daily HPC (High Performance Clean).
• Provide support and guidance to all operations staff during every scheduled plant cleanup and boil-out.
• Carry out various light janitorial tasks as required.
• Maintains all required documentation as it pertains to the sanitation process.
• Provide support and relief to various production staff as required.
• Familiarize with chemical property and able to perform concentration test with various chemical
• Maintain sanitation through production cycle to prevent food safety risk. Bring forward problem areas to supervision or appropriate around quality or food safety concerns.
• Able to act on blood borne and spill area to prevent risk to process, people and environment.
• Other related duties as assigned

Required Education, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (Competencies)

• Thorough understanding of WHMIS, plant sanitation requirements, industrial chemicals, and HACCP and AIB Gold standards.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize efficiently using effective time management and organizational skills.
• Physically capable of performing all required duties including some heavy lifting (up to 70lbs).
• Able to work with minimal supervision.
• Familiar with SAP and Consumptions tasks.
• Must have proven history of safe work habits.
• Must be familiar with MSDS and availability in case of emergency.

Required Length, Type of Experience and Licenses

• Must be willing to successfully complete Forklift, Emergency first aid, fire extinguisher training, forklift training, scissor lift training, and fall arrest.
• Must be able to operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
