Belvika is currently seeking a

Sanitation Lead Hand

for its

Thornmount

facility, located in Scarborough. The Sanitation Lead Hand will be responsible for ensuring the sanitation team follows the sanitation protocol, ensuring the sanitation team tracks and reports damage, and coordinating with production and QA teams to ensure line changeover and pre-ops are done effectively. The individual must be flexible to work day, afternoon and night shifts.





Current shifts available: Day




The successful candidate will:




Coordinate with production team in following the line changeover schedules; Effectively prioritize the sanitation requirements for lines to be readied in timely manner for production; Ensure that the sanitation team follows the sanitation protocol and SSOP's outlined; Ensure that new sanitation team members are given the right training on SSOP and GMP requirements; Ensure that sanitation staff practice safety in handling of cleaning and sanitization chemicals; Ensure that the right dilution ratios of cleaning agents are used; Ensure that all line changeovers are document tracked on the Revised Line changeover forms; Ensure that Sanitation team tracks and reports any cracks, damages to the Scale / elevator buckets, missing parts, on the Revised Line changeover forms; Co-ordinate with the QA team to ensure that Line changeover Pre-ops are done in an effective manner that production does not get delayed / impacted; Follow all Company health and safety policies and procedures and work in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act; All other duties as assigned by the Company.



Education/Work experience requirements:




High school diploma or equivalent; Minimum 2 years' experience in production environment (food processing or food packaging environment preferred);



Key technical & behavioural competencies:




Excellent leadership, problem solving, analytical and organization skills; Effective written and verbal communication skills; Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) proficiency.
