Position Title: Sanitation Labourer

McCain Foods Canada has an immediate opening for a Sanitation/Batter Labourer at our Florenceville Potato Processing Technology Center. Please note that this position is physically demanding.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Sanitation/Batter Labourer Florenceville Potato Processing Technology Center

• Follow JHA\'s and work safely. Participate in STEP program (Behavioral safety observations)
• Must be able to work Mon-Fri 7-4 shifts and flexible shifts if the project asks for that.
• Cleaning and Sanitation of equipment. Maintaining a neat work area; daily housekeeping report of the area
• Preparation of batter

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Grade 12 or GED required
• Professional Attitude suited for R&D showcase facility
• Must be able to work Monday to Friday
• Knowledge of computer operations an asset
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Strong Communication Skills
• Ability to lift approximately 35-40 lbs.
• Flexibility to learn and function within different jobs in the facility
• Ability to respond to unexpected circumstances calmly and responsibly
• Ability to accept and embrace change in the day to day operations
• Lift Truck License considered an asset

DUTIES:

• Responsible for following all safety requirements.
• Operates all of the equipment associated with the job assigned to
• Responsible for following change over policy and requirements.
• Responsible for sanitation duties
• Responsible for batter preparation
• Trouble shoot, adjust and maintain equipment as required.
• Must follow \xe2\x80\x9cGood Manufacturing Practices\xe2\x80\x9d (GMP\'s) and Critical Control Points (CCP\'s).
• Relay information to other Team members and project manager.
• All additional duties as they become assigned.

Applicants must possess a good safety record and continually demonstrate \xe2\x80\x9csafety first.\xe2\x80\x9d Selection of employees for promotion is based upon such factors as ability, special training, experience, prior PEP Ratings, attendance, ability to meet the physical demands of the position, education, length of service, and involvement in additional assignments. Length of service will be the determining factor when all other factors are relatively equal. Testing may be required depending on the position applied for. Interviews will held as necessary and those selected for interview are determined based on meeting the criteria as noted above. An evaluation period will be used to determine the candidate\'s suitability to the position. Shifts are subject to change and are not guaranteed due to scheduling demands.
